Hey ya’ll, i found this article on http://twentieshacker.com/how-to-be-happy-working-at-a-job-you-hate about what to do if you aren’t happy at your job. This also relates to our majors and future jobs that may be a little lack-luster and not-so-glamorous. So, read the article, but the excerpt that I found the most interesting was:
“What it all boils down to is this: “Change the way you look at things, and the things you look at will change“. Sounds cheesy. Sounds cliche. Is cliche. But it’s the truth, y’all.
You have two choices: Go on being miserable at your job that you’re stuck at because it pays your bills. Or, realize that this job is just a stepping stone in your career, and bleed it dry of everything you can learn. Learn from your company’s mistakes and failures just as much as their successes and triumphs.”
So, remember that you are doing something for a reason, whatever it may be…so weigh the pros and cons and how deep your hatred runs before you just up and quit because there may be light at the end of the tunnel if you can find a way to stick ijust a bit longer!!
